Michael Paré

Faces

Michael Paré was one of our very first guests at The Actors Hub, and from the moment he arrived, he felt like family. He is old-school in the most beautiful way: a true method actor, trained and accepted into the prestigious Actors Studio, the same institution that shaped legends like Pacino, De Niro, Brando, Burstyn, and Strasberg’s greatest disciples.

Michael was a bona fide movie star throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Films like Streets of FireEddie and the CruisersThe Philadelphia ExperimentBad Moon, and his countless leading-man roles made him a cinematic icon of that era. He had the career, the fame, the spotlight—everything Hollywood could offer.

But Michael walked away.
He chose to raise his son.
Family first, career second.
And that’s part of why actors love him—because he’s real.

After his son grew up, Michael returned to the screen, and he has been working non-stop ever since. Today, he is one of the hardest-working actors in the business, appearing in films and TV projects across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. And despite the nonstop schedule, he considers The Actors Hub one of his artistic homes. When the timing allows, Michael plans to permanently teach at the Hub—because he believes in what we’re building.

THE MICHAEL PARÉ EXPERIENCE AT THE HUB
Michael’s favorite acting book is When an Actor Prepares. He is a classically trained Stanislavski actor and teacher, and he brings that old-world discipline into a modern setting. His classes blend the heart of theatre with the demands of television and film.

He talks about the great writers, Tennessee Williams, David Mamet, Arthur Miller, Eugene O’Neill, not as history lessons but as breathing, living foundations of craft. Under Michael’s teaching, actors get on their feet, in front of the class, performing theatre pieces that are absolutely essential for understanding the full spectrum of acting.
No shortcuts. No surface work.
Just the craft—real, deep, muscular craft.
